Canada Post Community Foundation (2023): Permanent™ domestic rate, with a lovely orange owl reading a book. "The OFDC illustration by John Belisle depicts a diverse group of animals gathering around a fire in the forest to read a story together. It reminds us of the joy that stories and storytelling bring, as well as the creativity and curiosity they inspire. The stamp is cancelled in Ottawa, Ontario." Issued May 1, 2023. 8,000 produced. 

This has both an owl and books, so I LOVE it!

With this adorable  Official First Day Cover. The orange owl is now snoozing in a tree, holding his book in his wing. The cancelation stamp is the little bug reading a book!

Transcription: "Will you read me a story?" These are some of the sweetest words to be heard by anyone who loves a child. There is no denying that sharing stories enriches lives in so many ways. Thanks to the Canada Post Community Foundation, we all have the opportunity to contribute resources that inspire creativity and curiosity, and out annual semi-postal fundraising issue gives you a way to help. A donation of 10 cents from this Official First Day Cover - and $1 from each booklet of 10 stamps - goes directly to the Foundation to fund local and national non-profit groups that assist Canadian children and youth in writing the next chapter of their lives.
